The short version. Apple, not Nifu Games, is the seller of record for every purchase made inside Marvelous Fantasia. That means Apple charges your payment method and Apple issues refunds. The fastest way to get a refund is through Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com page. We're happy to help you walk through it — just email [email protected].
1. How refunds work on the App Store
When you buy gems, energy refills, the Northern Pass subscription, or any other in-app content from Marvelous Fantasia, the transaction goes through Apple's App Store. Apple receives the money, sends us a portion, and is the only party that can put the full amount back on your card or store credit.
Refund decisions are made by Apple based on their published policies. We do not see your full payment details and do not have the technical ability to issue a refund from our side.
2. How to request a refund through Apple
On any device, open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used to make the purchase.
Choose Request a refund from the dropdown at the top.
Select the purchase — for example “Northern Pass Monthly” or “Gem Pack — Medium”.
Pick the reason that best matches your situation and tap Submit.
Alternatively, on iOS open Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, tap the transaction, and follow the Report a Problem link. Apple usually responds within 24–48 hours, though it can take longer during busy periods.
Heads up. Apple may decline a refund if a consumable item (such as gems) has already been used in the Game, if you have a history of repeated refund requests, or if the purchase is older than the eligibility window for your region. That's Apple's call, not ours.
3. Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling a subscription is different from requesting a refund. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund charges you have already paid. To cancel Northern Pass:
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
Select Northern Pass.
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom.
You will keep access to subscription benefits until the end of the billing period that has already been paid. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — you must use the Subscriptions screen.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another country with equivalent consumer-protection law, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day of purchase.
For digital content delivered immediately, this right typically ends as soon as the download or delivery begins, provided you agreed to that and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal — which is what happens when you confirm an in-app purchase. However, if you have not yet used or consumed the content, you may still be entitled to a refund.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, contact Apple via the refund flow above and indicate that you are exercising your statutory right of withdrawal under EU/UK consumer law. If Apple is unable to assist, contact us at [email protected] and we will help escalate.
5. When we can help directly
Even though Apple processes the refund, here is what we can do from our side:
Restore lost purchases. If you reinstalled the Game or switched devices and your purchases didn't come back, open Settings → Restore Purchases in the Game. If that doesn't work, email us with your Apple ID's region and the rough date of purchase.
Lost progress. If you lost progress because of a crash or a sync issue and you bought items that no longer appear, we'll do our best to restore them once we've verified the transaction with Apple's receipt data.
Goodwill credit. If Apple declines a refund but we agree the situation was our fault (a server outage, a broken event, a bug that consumed your gems), we can grant in-game compensation such as gems or energy refills. This is a courtesy and is not a substitute for the statutory rights you have under your local law.
When you contact us, please include the receipt or order ID from your Apple email, the device model, and a short description of what happened. The more detail we have, the faster we can help.
6. Chargebacks and account access
Filing a chargeback or fraudulent refund request without first contacting Apple or us may result in revocation of the associated in-game items and, in repeat cases, suspension of access to the Game in line with our Terms of Service. If you genuinely don't recognise a charge, contact us before raising a dispute — many cases turn out to be a family member's purchase or a forgotten subscription, and we can help sort it out fairly.
